On Friday, September 10, 2010 at 10:00 AM Certified Holistic Health Counselor and Natural Whole Foods Chef Danielle Heard will discuss self-healing with whole foods and share her personal story of overcoming fibromyalgia and connective tissue disease.

Danielle will also highlight various beneficial foods that help support the immune system and aid the body in healing itself.

This is a private presentation for members of a Longview Women's Garden Club.

The 2nd Annual Living Green Symposium will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2010 from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM at the Harvey Convention Center in Tyler, Texas.

Tickets for the event are $5.00 per person. Children 12 years and under and students with ID cards can attend the event for free. Please visit the Living Green Symposium website for more information.

The Living Green Symposium provides people of East Texas with the opportunity to meet and learn from experts in the field of sustainability. The symposium will feature numerous Green products and services, as well as presentations by experts on energy conservation, air quality, green building, recycling, environmentally friendly landscaping, getting back to nature and other ways for living green. The symposium will include many Green exhibitors, entertainment and food. Prizes will also be given away throughout the day!

The Living Green Symposium is designed to help people who are seeking to learn how to improve the health of the environment and their health through sustainable methods.

The City of Longview Partners in Prevention will host the annual Multicultural Festival on Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM at the Maude Cobb Convention Center in Longview, TX.

The Multicultural Festival is a community effort to celebrate our diverse cultures and ethnic backgrounds. Come and have a fun time with free admission to live entertainment, exhibits, and merchant vendors.

The 8th Annual LeTourneau University Get It Together Health Fair will be Thursday, October 7, 2010 from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

The fair will include more than 75 health related vendors offering information about health and wellness. There will be free complete lipid profiles and glucose testing, nutrition counseling, fitness tests, strength testing, eye and glaucoma screenings and more! The health fair will also include health activities and games for children. Admission is free to the public.
